Hot and steamy in the bedroom tonight
Bloody weather.
Too hot to sleep.
If we ever do make it to Canada, top priority will be a house with air con, or a nice cool converted basement to sleep in.

Upper Canada is reportedly having a heat wave of their own. Best of luck.

Yes it's been pretty warm. We are in the process of renovating a house that has practically no insulation. We have a cool basement however, but on our upper floor we have fitted a/c units to my son's bedroom window, and ours and it's been fantastic. I had never encountered these little a/c units you can just stck in a window before. The humidity here, on the East Coast, is particularly bad though and we really do need the dehumidifier in our basement, we get at least a bucket full of water a day....which I stick on the plants outside. Best of luck!

And we got an email from a friend saying it was too hot to work so he had to go to the pub. Bloomin 'ot here too and the work still has to get done we have just hax a downpour which has cooled things off until it gets steamy. Might sleep in the basement tonight.

Had to invest in a fan as it is quite warm here, think it will be a bit cooler once I get to Vancouver
