This weather at the moment is quite delightful. Spent a lovely afternoon yesterday skating at Prince's Island, Calgary. So warm, the kids had their coats off on the ice whilst we sat in the sun and drank hot chocolate.
I am sure this can't last and we must in in for a big dump sometime soon. Feels a bit strange that it's warmer than the UK again here this week and it's almost February

The following winter was cooler and then the last two were long and hideous. I'm taking this mild stuff with a smile and no comment. Even if we get another -30 week, it'll already pan out as a good winter as far as I am concerned.
The downside of no snow, of course, is all that bloody brown grass on show

just looking at it outside now - the poor dog (golden not the puppy) is up to his knees already.

The heaviest snow is going through in a thin belt north of Calgary/Airdrie.........about where mmc lives, I think!

Coming down very heavily here in SW NS!! Can still just about see blades of grass though so not quite so thick!!!
