I use raw honey in oatmeal. Works well. Also heard honey may reduce inflammation in the body which if it does might useful.

If you aren't running the crane a smash of whiskey, or if you can't handle that a measure of Baileys should do the trick. If you're concerned about the sugar in the booze..... honey is and has always been the healthy alternative. It never goes bad.

I'm no coffee snob, but putting sugar, honey or god knows what in it just seems a wrong. Like adding ketchup to a christmas dinner.

Years ago I used to drink bucket loads of strong black unsweetened coffee which I then gave up along with gluten on doctors orders. To make the alternative herby stuff palatable I used sugar and now that I drink decaf I can't get used to the plain stuff. I'll keep on trying as its really the only place that I have sweetened food or drink. Apart from gin and tonic....don't make me give that up!
