Apologies, that wasn't aimed at you specifically. Perhaps I should not have put that but felt that was what was being implied, generally, though not necessarily by you.

No worries. It's a mystery and I hate mysteries. I like answers you see so am searching for one. As no doubt you have over the years since the photo was taken

The sparklies thing sound interesting, especially as it was verified by someone else. How many times did you see that?

Thanks

Yes, I have looked for an answer to this for over 3 years to no avail.. I have come to accept that it is just one of life's mysteries.

Interesting photos, none the less!

Almost every night for about 7 years.

Again, I have explored every possible explanation to no avail.

It has also been seen and verified by 2 other people who have stayed at the house without it having been discussed at any time beforehand.

I'm surprised you lasted 7 years! I think I'd be out in 7 days.

Did it come at a certain time (could you wait for it) or just randomly?

You know it's funny, I was never scared by it - I never had a feeling of fear, unlike other 'experiences' I have had.

No, it was quite random but it was interesting to lay there watching them, close my eyes for a couple of minutes to make sure it wasn't my imagination and then see 'clusters' of them above me when I opened my eyes again and see them zooming off in all different directions and lay there watching them for 20 minutes or so longer. I have had them trail through my open hands and 'hover' in the doorway before disappearing suddenly, other times they have appeared suddenly and then disappeared slowly, going down to dozens rather than hundreds and finally fading away.

Amazing for that to happen. What do you think it was? Did you ever try to film it?

No, I never tried to film it - it didn't occur to me at all.

I'm not into 'spirits' particularly, but always felt that these sparkling lights were 'good'. When my sister saw them - as she put it 'the whole room was filled with sparks of lights that zoomed around in every direction' (which is what they look like) - she felt a sense of peace and wasn't frightened at all. Nor were the other people.

One way to describe them would be to imagine tiny shooting stars filling the whole room in every direction, it was 3 dimensional as if looking at a universe of stars.

I honestly don't know what they are/were. I have done some extensive research but only ever found a couple of references to something similar.

Strange but true!

So... enough of my experiences (and I have lots more, lol) does anyone else have any interesting or strange stories to share?

Sparks, smoke.... it's so obvious, I don't know why we didn't think of it before!

What we have here is a classic case of covert construction of an underground base to accommodate extraterrestrials.
The "sparks" are simply the residue from welding rods, as is the smoke, which have all found their way up via various conduits to your house!

Phew, and there was me thinking it was a ghost!!

My mum would say they were fairies, which sounds rather nice.

Two possibilities:
1. Aliens
2. Glitch in the Matrix
Whatever it was, quite the phenomena!

I have no suggestion as to what is on that photo but along with the other occurrences I would say it points to the strange rather than anything with a normal explanation.

The house I grew up in and my parents still live in in definitely haunted. It's a pre WW2 ex council house and my parents were only the second tenants. Mrs Stephens lived there before us and died in the back bedroom, her only son died in the last bomb that dropped on Norwich and his bedroom was the middle bedroom. When my parents moved in in the 70's they found an old cake stand in the loft and Mum liked the design on the plates so she hung them at the bottom of the stairs where the wall curves around to the bathroom door, they are still there now and even after renovating the house the plates always get put back there.

When I lived there as a child and in fact up until I was 20 and moved out I could not walk down those stairs in the night and I would wake my Dad to come and wait at the bathroom door for me. Going up them stairs even in the daylight I always felt the need to run up them because it felt like someone was standing watching me from the bathroom door. My bedroom was at the top of the stairs with the door facing the stairs and as a child when laying there facing the door trying to sleep I used to see this shape floating outside the door near the ceiling, it was not exactly sparkly but it was kind of moving with flecks of colour......I can see it in my mind now and I have tried since to draw it and explain it to my skeptical husband but I just can't get it onto paper.

Long after I moved out my parents had gone on holiday and my lazy big brother paid me to come and do the housework before they got home. He was saying that he doesn't like being in the house alone and that it is the stairs that is the issue for him as he always has to run up them because it feels like he's being watched from the bottom. He also said that when he was shaving in the bathroom earlier in the week that he felt like he'd been touched on the shoulder and he turned around to find no one there and no explanation for the feeling.

When our parents got back we were all talking about it and my Mum says quite blatantly "Oh that is Mrs Stephens....she wont hurt you she's often tapping me on the shoulder when i'm in the bathroom or on the stairs near her plates". Then she went on to explain that at 2.04am every night if you listen in the middle bedroom you can hear the sound of an old fashioned light switch turning on and her theory (although never proved) is that this is the time that young Mr Stephens died in the air raid. She says once when she was in the kitchen (next to the bathroom) she saw someone walk past the kitchen door towards the bathroom but there was no one else in the house.

My dad, my little sister and my husband are total disbelievers and say they've never felt anything in that house so I think you have to be switched on to these things to feel them. My Mum definitely feels things that most people don't, if anyone on here has ever been in Strangers Hall Museum in Norwich there is a bedroom in there next to the toy room and my Mum cannot even walk in that room it totally freaks her out.....she says it just gives her a feeling of dread as soon as she enters it.

Anyway there you have it, i'm sure you didn't need to read all that but you know what they say.....it's good to talk

Oh and as an after thought.......Steve, the kids and I were once in an old Cafe in Cromer having a cuppa and there were these short (1.5" high) but broad (3-4" wide) salt and pepper pots on the table, not the kind of shape that could tip over if knocked. The kids had gone down into the cellar to use the bathroom and we were just sitting chatting and one of the pots just flipped up onto its side and stayed there. Steve just looked at the pot then at me and said "we don't need to talk about that" :-D when I mention it even now he doesn't talk about it because it goes against his totally skeptical view of these things lol

That's a fascinating read! Interesting that your Mum has 'always' known who it is and has no problem with her.

I do agree that some people are more 'tuned in' to phenomena (not necessarily because they want to be) and are more susceptible to seeing things. My Dad used to call it being 'fey' and my 2 sisters and I all seem to have inherited it from him.

I've had books on a shelf that have lifted up and turned on their side even after the rest of the books have blocked any chance of it happening naturally; pictures that have lifted off the wall and flown across the room; my sisters and I all heard our Mother calling us by name after she had died - my father couldn't spend one night in the room.

I too have had that horrible feeling of being followed/watched whilst walking upstairs - to this day I can't walk up a flight of stairs unless the downstairs and upstairs lights are on (I'm a scaredy cat, lol).

When I was young I used to 'hear' the phone before it rang and would tell my Dad who was going to be calling!

well, according to this science programme I watched, we are all holograms anyway so it seems very possible to me that there is some kind of alternative dimension or transference from a previous time going on.

It's mind-blowing stuff. It's possible that some holograms, like Souixie, are just able for whatever reason to see other dimensions more than other holograms, like Shard
