Or not....It really can be that easy.
Thank you!! As I have said before (over and over now in fact) we all get a few free passes at starting dumb threads...its almost a right of initiation. As a mod I only have a problem with it if it turns into a pattern of attention seeking behaviour, or if people are nasty to newbies in the process of guiding them to previously posted information. Absolutely agree with you on this. I think to some extent the formation of cliques is inevitable, through geography, age group, and other general common ground, but that doesnt mean we cant at least try to get along, or failing that at least ignore each other in the pursuit of peaceful coexistance. Cliques are forming all the time, obviously people going through the process at the same time will meet up, or email and PM and so it goes on. However, there seems to be an inner core of people on here that just will not live and let live. I suppose I should have a go at the original question while I am here... Has this forum changed my mind? No, Im still always right about everything:sneaky::lol: I just don't understand why everything has to be a fight, problem is people hide behind their keyboard, I think it gives people extra bravado that they wouldn't have in "real life". My dad always used to say "if you have nothing nice to say, then say nothing at all" and I guess I've lived my life by that moto, there is just no need to be nasty to people, I'd like to think that I treat people how I'd like to be treated, giving people the benefit of the doubt until they prove differently. I always think of that poor woman on here that came on asking advice about her disabled son who was been turfed out - she was obviously in desperate need of help and support and was absolutely lamblasted and yet it turned out she was a genuine person really in great need of help. |

So when a relative newbie attacks an older forum member then it ruffles feathers - the same as yours are ruffled when its vice versa. Its human nature. I remember posting a thread along the lines of this forum being like a classroom - theres all sorts - you just gotta suck it up and like you have said - if you don't like anything don't respond. This forum has changed my mind in one respect - I would've jumped down anyones throat a while back - now its just occasionally  |

Thanks Sue I do however have an issue with bullies whether in real life or on a forum. I certainly have no desire to enter into any sort of private messaging with him. |

I don't have an issue with him, although it seems to be that he didn't like my comments about people having every right to co-exist on this (or any) forum. If you read back you will see exactly what I have written and that absolutely none of it warranted any personal attacks at all.
