I can completely understand that those that have been here forever must find it tedeous but there are others that are happy to post a word or two in response. Everyone is at different stages and quite often this whole emmigrating thing can be completely overwhelming and sometimes it is just nice to know others are going through the same thing, if someone asks a question I can answer from experience I'll gladly do that if it helps them a bit. I cannot for the life of me understand why people on forums don't just live and let live.

Hear hear couldn't agree more - am always terrified of posting and always use the spell check! But yes the info is invaluable!

I agree most people very helpful indeed' but it's that one wrong Question Word or Opinion or even spelling mistake mmmm like the schoolyard fight fight fight thats is why a few are silent readers' i hope im making light of it

Common questions that most of us get annoyed about

How much do I need to earn to live in X

Do I need winter tires / block heater

Which ones best Calgary / Vancouver (or insert 2 place names here)

Gremmies personal fave - Which BBQ do you use

Healthcare in Canada - how does it comepare to the UK

What do you miss most about "home"

Where can I buy marmite/bisto/cordial etc

I suppose some of us have been around more than most - and some more than that even, so have these questions time after time after time after ...... well you get my drift.

Whilst to someone new these are all valid questions (aside from the particularly ridiculous "Do Canadians feet smell like fish" or whatever it was") to those of us saddos that more or less live here, its like taking 3 5year olds on a 12hr long road journey and from the first mile they ask are we there yet, and then again every 30 seconds until arrival.

Sooner or later even the most calm person will snap ;)

Hard to say. The woman opposite us lives in a house identical to ours. We make about four times what she does.

Winter tyres are mandatory in QC. I don't know anyone with a block heater.

Such as Melbourne and Moscow.

I don't. It's the missus' job.

I've only had the one vasectomy, so I can't really compare.

This is home.

What is this fascination with Bisto and cordial? I can understand Marmite.

I keep doing that (forgetting to put a message outside the quotes).
