That's cos people that work in advertising now-a-days are full of shit. They think they are being "creative" and "edgy" when the reality is they are just hawking shite. It's not "mad men", it's idiots who can't be proper artists because they've got nothing to say or any talent.
So, bereft of any creativity, advertisers resort to trolling. What is depressing is that it seems to work, and there is always some bunch of nimrods willing to get offended over banal crap designed make them spend money.
Well, both groups can piss right off as far as I'm concerned.

I could look at that ad from now till Christmas and not figure out that it was for an Edmonton hair salon.
Maybe the husband got angry because his wife blew $250 on a comedy hairdo in a stylish Edmonton salon?

It seems the ad achieved everything it was designed to. How many people on this board would be talking about this salon had they not run the ad?

Will be interesting to see what local reaction at the salon is and how business goes in the next little while...

In bad taste yes, but a storm in a tea cup, it took over a year before any one noticed it.

It made our local rag today, I skipped over the article. Mountains out of molehills and all that.
