Has anybody else been called a "b***y immigrant"!?
Just had a really hostile customer who tbh was a complete jackass (typical male chauvanist type)
He was rude and arrogant because he didn't have id with him for me to cut and programme a key that he wanted - this is when the "bloody immigrant" comment came out
My response was "Well I understand you are upset, however if you want this key cutting I am the only person left in the building that has the codes and passwords you need to do this - so you can either deal with this bloody immigrant and fetch me the required information - or go without your key?"
Which he relented and went and fetched his drivers license, but omg what a tit
He was rude and arrogant because he didn't have id with him for me to cut and programme a key that he wanted - this is when the "bloody immigrant" comment came out

I'd have told them to bugger off till a non-immigrant was available.

The only horrible people i have met in Canada so far have been Australians & both were bloody rude, today lady said to me
"The trouble with you bloody poms is you want to rule the world" and there was me just helping her on her computer !

Thats what surprised me - every other person I have bumped into is supernice. I think it must have just been his time of the month.
And regarding the "rule the world" comment, I think when people feel inadequate about their own abilities or whatever - rather than say thank you, its easier to make a snidey comment.

I think some people I have spoken to think I shouldn't be getting expensive surgery on OHIP, but most are happy and proud of their system, and dont begrudge me it. Good retort Mands, I only think of these things after the event.
