Happy St. Patrick's Day

Well it's not St. Patrick's Day in Calgary yet, but it is in the British Isles, so

Happy St. Patrick's Day

to everyone of Irish descent, to all people named Patrick, Patricia, Pat, Patty, Trish, Paddy, and to anyone else who feels like accepting the wish.

Thank you Judy!

I went out on friday evening to celebrate, and am still in shame and embarassment phase of recovery! The kids will be off to school tomorrow with St Patricks badges on and snacks for the class that I have been asked to bring in !!!

I must say I have never noticed it celebrated in England, so it's nice that people do here!

Slainte!!!!

"The Catholic Church moved St Patrick's Day 2008 after discovering it clashed with a key day in the Church's calendar."

They moved it to 15th March, weird really but Happy St Patrick's Day anyhow

Here in the "Jaw", we will be celebrating on the 17th as always. Me and my wee band are in the CHAB studio's from 7am till 9am, then 1pm-4pm at the Timothy Eatons Center, followed by 5pm to 8pm at Bobbys Place. Now seeing as that is such a long day, do you suppose I might be entitled to a wee one or three sometime this evening?
Slainte! to yez all!! indeed.

Neither me nor any of the girls at work are irish (though I think if anyone looked hard enough they could find a trace element of celtic blood in their dog or something) But we are dressing up in the spirit of things anyway - pictures will be posted on photobucket tommorow!

I'm wearing green underwear. But I've been wearing them since last Thursday so that probably doesn't count.

'Jaysus yes'. We had a pre-paddys-day celebration on Saturday. At least one member of the BE (Newfoundland) chapter was apparently a little under the weather yesterday..........(not me).
