Happy St Davids Day

To all my fellow Welsh people out there. Hope you have/are wear(ing) your daffodil with pride. Although the ground is probably still frozen in Canada to grow any. You could always make one like we used to do in school!

Happy St David's Day.
Have you ever noticed that St David's, St George's, and St Andrew's Days aren't well promoted by Brits abroad, but that St Patrick's Day is an excuse for a piss-up nearly everywhere in the world.

I have now banned my kids from calling it St Paddys day.....they can at least call it by the right name! (even though they think it's all about naughty leprechauns!)

The only reason we know of St. Patrick is because of clever marketing and it is used as an excuse to drink and party, possibly to excess.

Oh by the way happy St Davids Day to all those of Welsh extraction.

We are off to a St. David's day dinner tonight. Food is usually good and evening ends up with a load of singing in Welsh. I don't do singing and certainly not in Welsh, but its OK because nobody hassles you if you don't join in.
