Enjoy the day, everyone.

What are you all up to ?

Who's got the day off work - and who has to work?
Who is going to a local concert / parade / rodeo, etc ?
Who is avoiding all the above like the plague and staying at home with a large beer?

Depending on weather, we will possibly head into our local town for a concert - but hubby is working a night shift, so he will have to leave early. (We went last year and it was pretty good and we got sunburnt - think some rainy bits are forecast for tomorrow).

Otherwise, might just crack open that beer afterall

This will be my last Canada Day in Canada, I'll be taking my little boy to the park at Kew Gardens on Queen Street to meet his friends. (Also I'm taking my Citizenship oath on Thursday ten days before I leave)

Happy Canada Day folks.

I think this video probably gets a mention or a link every year but I can't help but feel happy whenever I see it.

Well

On the subject of the national anthem, I am well versed.....

In the first two words.

Oh Canada.... dum dee dum dee dee daa

After that I am screwed. They should make you sing it on landing :-)

I am heading to the Maple Leaf pub in covent garden for the Canada Day celebrations, hoping to pick up some atmosphere there.

Happy Canada Day everyone !!!

Happy Canada Day

This is my first one so have it planned as follows :

Going to see some stuff going on in a local park;

then onto the Raymond Rodeo (which was where the first Rodeo in Alberta was)

Then back to the park for a Rock Festival and fireworks

Exciting

Gaynor

PS in between cook some turkey (which is hogging the freezer which Phil bought from the local Hutterite colony) must be mad in this heat too
