Seems to me they should be encouraging entrepreneurial immigrants who will not only be able to create jobs but also more likely to stay due to their investment. Perhaps they should add a stream to their PNP routes

Actually, the Provincial government tried that a few years ago. Turned out to be a fiasco and lots of would be entrepreneurs got scammed. It took years trying to clean up the mess. I doubt that they would want to go there again.
I don't see why it would be so hard or why it went horribly wrong, if someone has a good business plan, enough money to fund it & the government thinks it's viable, where's the downside. |
