we moved here to edmonton 3 months ago and ive been to the hairdressers twice, both times to different ones. first time i had a longish bob and just had it trimmed, he asked abt BANDS and i said no, though wondered why h wanted to know if i wore a headband?
yesterday went for a restyle to very short and again was asked abt a BAND ? why was she asking, i wouldnt wear a headband in very short spikey hair,
so i asked her what she meant
apparently a band is a fringe ?????? thats canadian for you

Yep it's bangs...After many disaterous hair styles I have found an English hairdresser who knows what I'm talking about and he make a lovely cuppa too
