Default gutted truly gutted

well all I can say is I am gutted, that is being polite, I could swear and make a ned red faced - we sold the house, got a good price in fact full price and with a rental payment for 6 - 12 months until they cleared the balance and were all ready to start our new life in London and what happened - 3 days before we finalised the deal the buyer said their lender was refusing to give them the money. I am sick, they have left us in such a bind. Everyone told us it was all okay - our lawyer, realtor but ultimately it is our own fault as nothing was signed - only verbally agreed - it was all done in less than 3 weeks, they wanted a quick move. Mark had handed in his notice and got the uhaul to bring most of our stuff down, we had the shippers coming today to take all our big stuff into storage. Thankfully we were able to stop this and are leaving the furniture in the house to make it look better for viewings.

Now we have to hope Mark gets a job QUICKLY as we now have one salary and two houses to keep going. It was Mark who subsidised me as I am paying out two lots of childcare in London. My salary doesn't even cover the rent and childcare and even worse now we do not have health insurance - there is no way I can afford the $300 a month it costs in my work. We can't risk giving the childcare up as it is so hard to get and the ones we have are excellent. Mark will still have to go round the companies knocking on doors and he can't do this with 2 kids in tow.

Sorry to rant but I am just so gutted and with no one here to talk to I just had to get it off my chest. Just keep your fingers crossed for us and lets hope this economy recovers soon.

Think it is a bottle of wine time!!! In fact I have even started - the cava is chilled to perfection.

If anyone can offer advice I would be obliged as to say I am ready to lose it is an understatement.

You know it is so good to have this site as there is no way I could talk to folk so openly about my problems. If I said I'd be happy to give it ALL up that is an understatement.
