Guess who's back ????

Was gonna post this yesterday - but the jet lag got the better of me and I couldnt think straight.
Well me and Nate landed back on UK soil at 6am after spending a very busy 2 weeks in Alberta getting our rental etc ready and moving in - in a way am glad to be here for the rest !!! Even if it is now only temporary as we hope to be going back for good in early August
For those of you getting WP or SOWP at the POE - dead easy and the CBSA officials are really nice to you - but they didnt welcome me to Canada
that must be only for you PR guys.
Spent the first weekend up at WEM (Edmonton) and had supper with Ki76 and Elli and Paul and their family - but this had to be cut short as my kids were falling asleep in their pizza (think that is what they ate) so Phil took them back to the hotel whilst I finished off visiting with the other expats.
For everyone who is currently making the move to Canada meeting the people who have supported you the most in your journey is the best thing ever - over the past 12 months both ki and Elli have always been there to support me and for this I am truly grateful to both of you
We then took the 5.5 hours road trip home to Lethbridge - me driving the last couple of hours to give Phil a rest and finally got to my friend Rani's house and supper. Never been so relieved to have been home in all my life.
And this is where all of the fun started..................
I then spent from Monday May 28th till Tuesday 5th June running around like a headless chicken seeing our rental for the first time, cleaning it and getting stuff to make it something like a home for Phil and Hannah for when me and Nate came back to the UK. I swear I have never been so busy in all of my life but when I left my new home on June 8th it looked and felt like a home which is what I set out to achieve.
Hannah is enrolled into Middle School and although it has been hard for her to get used to I know that she will now flourish there for the last few weeks of term. She has already made a few friends and comes out of there absolutely on a high and I cant shut her up - this never happened in the UK.
Phil and the kids took a weekend out on their own and went to Stafford Lake about a half hour away from our place - they went swimming and motor boating which was great as they got some quality time together.
We have had enormous amounts of help from our Canadian friends which we as a family are eternally grateful for - even an old friend whom I hadnt seen for 13 years came on her afternoon off from work to paint Hannah's bedroom and make it like home for her
I also had minihaha around to my place on Wednesday evening for coffee - seeing that we are going to be living in the same town best make ourselves known to each other - another fab evening had. We were joined of course by Phil and the kids but also Mini's bro was present - think he was tired tho as he did alot of yawning either that or we bored him to tears hahah (only joking Andy
)
So guys that sums up my little trip to see my hubby - although reading over this I haven't mentioned him that much
oh well nothing changes much
Lots of love to all of you - and thanks for everyones support over this really hard time for me and my family

Hi Gay
You have been sorely missed over the last 2 weeks! Glad to see you back.
You sound as though you had a super (but very busy) time - I bet it just sped by!
Any news on the house sale - that will be the icing on the cake. How does Manchester feel after Lethbridge?

Hi Gay,
Welcome back - was going to say home but then thats where you just left.
I replied to your thread on smoking before I had read this post -so just ignore me!
It's now under two weeks until Richard and I go on our reccie (21st June) to Saskatchewan and I am so excited. I am sitting in the sunshine in the garden writing out lists. He thinks I am mad - and then when we get there and everything is taken that was supposed to and appointments made etc he will be shocked. As if I haven't been researching it all for weeks, mainly through BE. Thanks guys.
Talk soon,
Alison

So, so glad you had such a good time, and got your daughter settled, (and got to spend some time with hubby!). Am sure the time will fly by until you go back out permanently!
Hope you manage some well deserved rest in the next few days.

Hi Gaynor
Good to hear you all had a fab reunion. Busy time for you but I am sure you're glad to have organised everything in Alberta re the house. Good that Hannah has started school before the holidays as she will have friends for the summer to keep her busy when Phil is at work. Good to read in another post that Nate has been making friends too!
