Running, alcohol, Amanita Muscaria, or is it Amanita Phylliodes - can't remember but don't get it wrong - or you won't awaken ever!

No absinthe in the cupboard, so it's the cooking sherry, a Kathy Reichs novel, and Richard Curtis' best slushy DVDs for me...
If that doesn't do the trick I'll turn my attentions to the medicine cupboard.....wonder if a box of Elasoplast and mouthwash will do the trick. Night night. AGAIN.:( |
Re: Guaranteed cures for insomnia...
I have not found one yet and I have had a problem all my life it's called Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome. http://www.sleepdisorderchannel.com/dsps/index.shtml
On average I sleep 3hrs in 24, great for getting lots done, but it can be extremely frustrating and not only for me. When I was pregnant and in the hospital they realised they had never seen me sleeping unfortunately. They tried everything including sleeping tablets, even though I had told them they just made me even more alert while I am awake in the night. They gave up in the end and fortunately let me be. One good thing is that I never suffer from jet lag. One bad thing is I can never sleep if I have had a drink. Melatonin does help, but I found it had too much of a calming effect throughout the day. I am quite hyper and found that was alien to me so I only took it for a few days. Everyone else thought it was great. |
Re: Guaranteed cures for insomnia...
After a few nights of not sleeping I usually resort to taking Piriton, (chlorphenamine), which works a treat. The pharmacist normally tells you that you want the non drowsy allergy version but you dont, you want the drowsy version. They dont approve of taking piriton to get to sleep
