I would never buy any store brand version of coke/pepsi/sprite/7up...they are all awful.

Compliments wieners are not good but their stuffing mix is fine. I think the 'sensations' brand is good

The only generic soda I have found acceptable is root beer from Wal-Mart or Save On, tastes just like A & W to me, otherwise the rest, totally agree with you.

I think I can count the number of times I've had root beer on one hand...and still have two fingers to spare. ;)

It's not my favorite but I buy it at times since most varieties have no caffeine and I get tired of 7/up and Sprite.... I tried straight carbonated water, but did not like the taste at all, even with some fruit juice added it was still gross...lol

I must be weird, I don't drink any kind of soda - with the exception of very occasionally having tonic water to mix with vodka or gin. I don't even like gassy beer - give me Caffreys or Guinness any time.

My son is the same, but that's probably because he was rarely allowed it growing up - he has a 7-up or Sprite about twice a year tops even now.

I don't drink soda either...never have...I prefer plain old water. I don't drink spirits...so I have no need for mixers. Not keen on beer but I do enjoy the occasional Radler after a long walk on a hot summer afternoon.

I'm not a crisp lover but I do like cheese and onion crisps. Lays UK style cheese and onion crisps are the real deal IMO.

I remember that Walkers did an English mustard that was the dogs. Sadly no more. :(

Wasn't that Brannigans roast beef and mustard? I think you can still get them in blighty.

Thing you need to place is keep your tastebuds attuned to cheap. Leaves more $ for fun!!!

I drink a lot of water but I just like the bubbles and sweetness of soda, but I have a major sweet tooth.

I have a major sweet tooth too...always have. I'm also a carb junkie...but fizzy drinks do nothing for me.

I like the fizz as long as the drink is sugary, fizzy water or beer isn't my thing though.

Each to his own then J...I don't like fizz...surgery or otherwise. I'll stick to chocolate, cakes and Grand Marnier
