This 60-pager is a bit epic

Synopsis:

OP asks for information on anyone who's been scammed/caught out by this shady business in a post from September 2012. It's one of these "Pay us $xxx and we've got genuine buyers lined up for your [Item for sale]...in this case, vehicles.

Few people go on about similar scams as were listed and there's a bit about the previous business being convicted by the Alberta Fair Trading people

the thread lays basically dormant until Mid-2013

Owner "James2013" comes onto the thread and goes into meltdown saying that his "business model" is better than Kijiji and Autotrader and people trying to sell private vehicles over $10,000 won't be able to because no-one has "that sort of money" lying around. Also says that banks won't give people loans for second hand cars as it's too much risk

Few accusations of slander are tossed around. James2013 reports people to "AOL" and reports the moderators to "RipoffReport"

James2013 is Asked to provide proof that he has connections with these "finance companies" and asked why his Finance application form isn't secure and where it goes when it's filled in

Another poster mentions he is friends with the owner of one of the finance companies James2013 claims to use but has never had anything to do with him, provides email proof.

He then makes a $100,000 bet with another moderator but won't acknowledge the requests to meet

Accuses the website owners of being scum, and supporting hate-speech/slander then starts emailing all the sponsors telling them they should withdraw their sponsorship as the website supports hate speech.

Sponsors come into the thread and tell him to stop spamming them (Most of the sponsors are moderators )

Guy keeps going further and further into meltdown, and this leads us up to last night/today

Tells people to call him to meet up, then doesn't answer his phone...claims people are calling him with fake numbers and when he calls back he says they tell him they've not called

claims he's in Vancouver, then threatens to kick the teeth out of a cop who posts to say he seen him in Starbucks on Edmonton Trail.

Continues to try and defend his business as "fair" and "better than Kijiji/Autotrader"

Its pretty funny for the most part

5 minutes, why?

might give someone something to do for a couple of hours if they're bored...might stop someone else getting ripped off.

i had a good laugh at it yesterday...

give or take...there's 375 words there

5 minutes would be 75WPM...last time i tested my rate was about 60WPM, so that's 6.25 minutes

not counting the fact the web address was copypasted
