More knowledgeable folk than I will have to handle the enlightenment bit and since I'm on a mac I'l have to wait to even look at this browser. But if this thread and the other one you just did are signs of a turning leaf, then I'm very pleased indeed.

Best,

Novo

Safari does it for me. Very pleased with it.  :•)

I don't need a google made browser that will track my visits and searches and push adverts at me generated according to my surf habits.

Hey, I'm not totally superficial....it amuses me how people make assumptions and broad brush comments...and I must admit that makes me play up to the superficial dullard flirt image....can't resist it I'm afraid......

I'm actually an educated woman (I know, would never have guessed it)!

But I will take your praise in the spirit it was intended though, and make an effort to improve the quality of my posts.....

Peace has broken out.....

talking of push advertising - I'm amused that youre reference to Safari means that the ad at the bottom of the page is now encouraging me to take a wildlife-spotting trip along the Zambesi.

So it does! But why did you look?

<Feels a new thread coming on>

On edit: I suspect that a "How often have you followed an advert link from this site" poll, would probably provoke considerable ire from someone or other, so I'll refrain.

I use both. :-) to be honest. I flip-flop back and forth. firefox has some security issues but is great for downloading videos of youtube *cough* using various plug-ins.

Hmmm, I just read about the new google browser today & I'm yet to investigate the matter. Any tech-savvy folks out there have any thoughts on the google offering? Good or otherwise.

It also got me thinking.....
I have a lovely laptop with stinky windows vista on it, it's tedious to say the least. What can I replace this tat with (that won't cost an arm & a leg)?

No offense taken, I don't like it either. It spends most of it's time frozen doing sweet FA.
