Very slightly off tangent - has anyone been following Stuart Maconie's series on BBC Radio 2? It's called The People's Songs Premise is that it tells the story of modern Britain since World War II via the songs that provided a soundtrack over the past 70 years.
Take a peek and listen ... there have been some outstanding episodes so far!

I have to say....thanks for posting that MK. I am a huge Dire Straits fan, and their cd is always in my glove compartment. A very modest man, no screaming for attention like others, and one of the greatest guitarists of all times

Its not just music for your nan to listen to, its also great stuff for that impromptu office karaoke session after a few cheeky pints at lunch.
