Agents will not land you any quicker, despite what the may imply!

for the record Accessmigration dont say they willl get you there any quicker- nor do they imply it. But they help and take loads of the stress and worry out of it, I wouldnt have liked to have done it without help. Its up to you entirely.

Sorry if I have mislead people here. I was not insinuating the company mentioned here would promise such things, but having recently attended a migration event, some of the companies I spoke to certainly gave me this impression!

I second Wearsider on this one.....if you have a good qualification that is in demand here in Canada, do your own research and keep that huge fee in your own pocket!

Plus I'd rather keep around 6k GBP in my own bank account for my future in Canada than pay an Immigration Agency! We researched, or rather I did, and I filled out the numerous forms....it's overwhelming, but not rocket science!

we wish we had done it all our selves, even using an agent and doing pnp, quickest way to get to canada, it will still have taken us 18mths and 6 grand.
we ende up finding a job for our selves in the end anyway

STOP - If you do not have the time or inclination to DIY the project (and you have dosh to flush away) then yep, use an "agent"!
If you are keen to move it fast - then as an experienced "construction" worker, you could enter Canada, as a business entrepenaur, through most of the different Provincial Governments nomination scheme's.
BC, AB, SK, MB, NB, NS.
New Brunswick would have you here by next fall!
Of course AB is the boom economy at present, the down side is that the cost of housing in BC and AB "is through the roof!"
With todays www you can research, print, mail the forms yourself.
