It truly amazes me what passes for hockey when you get to the playoffs in the NHL.
The game changes completely, from one of few muggings and deliberate attempts to injure to one of almost anything goes.
It's one of the reasons I no longer watch the NHL and especially the playoffs.
Neither one of these two teams is innocent. It's almost a free for all out on that ice surface, and the league seems to condone it.

I've just heard that Anaheim won 3-2 even without the thug of the year (their number one defense man Pronger).
It would appear that Ottawa is in a deep dark hole and unlikely to climb out.
Not very many teams ever come back from a three games to one deficit.
