That's the second time this playoffs he's been suspended.

He should have been arrested. It is perhaps no coincidence that shortly before the assault took place the victim (McAmmond) had bounced the puck off Pronger's skate and into the net.

No. It was revenge, pure and simple.

It truly amazes me what passes for hockey when you get to the playoffs in the NHL.

The game changes completely, from one of few muggings and deliberate attempts to injure to one of almost anything goes.

It's one of the reasons I no longer watch the NHL and especially the playoffs.

Neither one of these two teams is innocent. It's almost a free for all out on that ice surface, and the league seems to condone it.

And for anyone in the UK interested in staying up all night the games are live on Channel 5.

I've just heard that Anaheim won 3-2 even without the thug of the year (their number one defense man Pronger).

It would appear that Ottawa is in a deep dark hole and unlikely to climb out.

Not very many teams ever come back from a three games to one deficit.

In the street....yes, on the ice.....no - my balance isn't great;) Anyway, I'm moving to the other side of Canada so it's not likely that I'll bump into him:thumbup:

I gave up after the first period. It was obvious what was going to happen.

Still, at least the cup was won by a Canadian team.
