LOL ..... The last time somebody said that to me, and others around agreed, I retorted "What accent? I don't have an accent. It's all you lot that have the accent!"

I feel they thought me somewhat ungracious! :p

That sounds like the Norovirus, or whatever it's called short sharp and very nasty aka "winter vomitting bug" back in UK hospitals! :(

Glad to hear it's passed .... as it were. :p

LOL

Funny you should say that. She was down in Med Hat yesterday and the hospital was under partial shut down because of an out break. She'd also been down last week SO we are wondering if she brought it back with her, IF she did watch out for Smelly and Scotty (and their partners) having a mild case too.

:D Hi Wortleys
This is our second time in Canada - came here in the 80's as a family - OH and 3 year-old daughter; loved it here and stayed for around 7 years, then circumstances took us back to the UK.
Returned to Canada late 2004, just OH and me, now in our mid-50's :scared: with the intention of semi-retiring. There are times when I have been so homesick it causes me physical pain. Living here it's almost like learning a new language as you have to learn "the system". I've also learned that living in a small town you have to make the first move with meeting people, as the townsfolk are quite suspicious of new faces, and can be unfriendly. I'm getting better at coping with all this now and try really hard to be positive....it's all part of our Big Adventure, and at least we can say we've tried it. Just because a decision is the right decision doesn't necessarily make it an easy one. What you're going through is normal - work through it, you'll be fine :)

Hi, It would appear that we are in a similar position to you. We applied to emigrate Feb '04, got our 90 day letter in Dec. We've (well I've) had a few changes recently, life has had to go on. I'm now doing a job a really enjoy but still think that a move to Canada would be good for all of us. I think that if you put enough effort into something it will work out, I hope so anyway. Good luck with your decision
