Re: George Galloway
lol, Galloway is getting his a taste of his own medicine. He was vocal in denying Geert Wilders into the UK and Jean Marie Le Pen of France before that. Now that the tables have turned George seems pretty outraged that he is the one being told "no thanks".
http://israelmatzav.blogspot.com/200...-galloway.html After Tim Mclean was decapitated on the Grey Hound bus last year a lunatic church group known as the "Westboro Baptist Church" decided that they as foreign citizens were just going to show up and protest Tim Mcleans funeral because they felt like it. I see this situation in the same way. Some rogue lunatic foreign MP who was kicked out of his own party thinks that he can just waltz on in to stir up sh$t because he feels like it. Umm, don't think so. Galloway has no god given right to be in Canada. It isn't a free speech issue either. The laws in Canada are designed to protect free speech for Canadian citizens. I can show up in front of any government office in the country and protest any thing I want until I am blue in the face. George Galloway does not have that right. |

I congratulate you on introducing Fred Phelps, now George Galloway looks well balanced and credible.

Feel free to express yourself with a counter argument dbd. Galloway is a hypocrite,
Oh, and yes, Galloway hypocrite, full of shit, but not a threat to national security and therefore a legitimate speaker in Canada. |

I don't believe he is a threat to strap a bomb to himself and commit suicide. But that doesn't mean he has a "legitimate" right or any right what so ever to come to Canada. Rights to enter Canada are not determined by the will of a foreign individual.

No, but generally speaking anyone can come and visit unless they're a threat to national security, Fred Phelps, who holds views very close to those of Jason Kenney, is plainly a threat to the fabric of the country. Galloway is not, he visits, he speaks, a few students are thrilled, he goes away. Phelps and Kenney are dangerous men; they want removing, Galloway is just a buffoon.

I'm curious to hear your analysis likening Phelps and Kinney
Kenney, you mean? Two rabid homophobes given to inflammatory rhetoric. Two men with little control over their physiques given to sweaty bluster and spittle distribution. Either could be played by Rod Steiger circa "In the Heat of the Night". |

Re: George Galloway
In case anyone hasn't yet found it for themselves, GG's broadcast to the meeting last night is online at youtube (search on Galloway Toronto). It's in 5 parts, but he only needs the first few minutes to completely and permanently demolish Jason Kenney's credibility.
Worth a watch. |

Cute. It reminds me of a Rick Mercer rant. I liked the bit about Homeland Security.
