You may not be able to get Gammon (I actually suspect you probably can, they may just call it by a different name - a bit like some of the other cuts of meat that are called different things in the UK compared to here), but there are plenty of ham joints to be had in the supermarkets.
Just get one of those and do that instead.

As for ham joints they are all smoked. I want an unsmoked joint not riddled with chemicals and sugar.

Had some lovely mince pies from Safeway today. Just the right ratio of filling to pastry.....yummy!!

Must admitted that it got me when we first moved to the bridge...........
I spoke with a butcher and now get bacon and gammon

I have to buy in larger pieces, but they do normal but costs loads
So i buy and slice the bacon (medalion bit) and cut the gammon/meat to our size
Just speak to butchers in the area, they may look at you silly, but i hope you can find one that helps
