Fun on Zoom flight

This same problem occurred on a Quebecair flight back in 1986; a bunch of drunken Canadian youths boarded at Toronto and proceeded to harrass and insult passengers and crew. Apparently it was the last ever flight of Quebecair, and the crew didn't want any "trouble", so these hooligans continued their obnoxious behaviour for the duration of the flight until it landed at Gatwick., where they were promptly arrested and put on the next flight back to Toronto.
I remember it well because my family and I sat in the row in front of them, and my daughter, then aged about 8, was terrified. I've wondered since if the youths involved remember it as well as I do. The terms "air rage", "road rage" etc hadn't been coined back then, but I reckon it was probably one of the first instances of it.

Happened on my Dad's Zoom flight (LGW-YWG) a few years back, turned back for Glasgow 1/3 way to Iceland and met by police... the crew said it happens "often" whatever that means.
There were semi-regular reports in the Winnipeg press about landings there to remove passengers - I don't know why but it seemed a popular place to offload them
I would get excited to see a BA plane at the airport there but it was only ever for passenger arrests, not to start up a service

I was waiting to get on a flight with Flyglobespan in Hamilton Airport last June to Glasgow-London when two drunken mothers at the gate got drunk and started to hit each other throw drinks and anything they had in their hands at each other. As you could imaging the language was colorful. The canadians there were appaled. The worst thing was they held babies in their hands as they fought. Disgusting.
The police were called and after an hour of questioning, a delayed flight they were taken away, all of the two families and not allowed to fly that night. Good on the Canadian Police.
We were all worried before the flight that they would be trouble on the flight as they were so loud and drunk!
