Foods you wouldn't dare eat as a kid
So I find myself eating a bowl of Spanish olives, Feta and sun-dried tomatoes. No way would I have even considered any of these items as a kid, let alone the combination! Any other acquired tastes out there?

Smoked Salmon probably never appeared in the house back then, can't imagine not having it now.

I remember watching my mum eating steak tartare and thinking it was gross but I like it now. But really any adult food back then as I mainly survived on nachos, string cheese and smurf berry crunch cereal.

This led me to think I'd best not bring cucumber sandwiches for fear of being considered odd.

I am a picky eater both as child and adult, and generally what I eat now is what I ate then, a few things I have added since though:
Asparagus
Broccoli
Carrots if not cooked
Feta cheese
Lamb

Ooooo goody two shoes
I'll eat stuff like cabbage and spinach now that I refused as a child. There are a few things that I ate then that won't eat now such as prawns and crab which now make me feel quite icky. I won't even try oysters and scallops. The town I was brought up in had many immigrants with various delis and restaurants. I remember my friends and me used to run past the Italian deli holding our noses. Now I'd be in there looking for the lovely stinky cheeses.
My parents went for meat and two veg cooking. I didn't even get to eat spaghetti until I was 19. By then I'd left home and moved to London so food choices were much greater and I was more adventurous.

I too was encouraged to try everything, if we didn't like it we didn't have to eat it. The same philosophy was given to alcohol too. Very strange parents!

Butterbeans
Still can't eat either.
Other than that, nope, pretty much ate anything I was given and will still eat just about anything!
