OH never ever wants to go back to rip off scummy England, I would like to go back once in a while for the visiting rellies thing but this last trip did confirm one thing. Red Deer Alberta is where we want to be for now and Canada is where we want to be forever:thumbsup:

One things for sure that this thread will carry on for several generations under this title or some other comparison thread. In 20 years the newcomers today will be the old established posters who will be telling the newcomers to get over it and accept it as we are 2 different countries in history, culture, etc etc
Tim Hortons and Canadian Tire will still be around as well and Im guessing there will still be a price difference in cheese and someone will be asking where can they get the real Cadburys chocolate bars or Oxo cubes. Liverpool will still be attempting to win their first EPL title and the Sun will still have tits on display on Page 3 so all is well for the future. |

[QUOTE=Oink;9823163]You're just homesick love. You should go home and find yourself a nice Canadian lad, I mean dude. You can watch ice hockey while sipping your French Vanilla Cappuccino Supreme and pondering the wide open spaces that you don't own and aren't allowed on.
Oh and go ahead and 'berate' all you like, as you've mentioned we do a lot of that in the UK because its healthy to self-acualize instead of bottling it up because that creates frustration which leads to passive-aggressiveness.[/ That sounds like a great plan. :) |

From what i'm seeing here we certainly have old union ideas from the seventies going on.. and a short drive out from the cities can put you back to the 1950's and 60's.. |
