Films with no sequels that really should...

Hollywood seems to be running out of ideas, and the number of sequels or remakes is astonishing.
However, there are some films that really deserved (and seemed to plan for) a sequel that just haven't happened.
One that springs to mind is "The Book of Eli".... just screaming for a sequel, but nothing yet. Made in 2010 and with an ending that could have carried on into a really good story.
Any more?

District 9: You really want the "prawns" to come back, turn Vikas back into a Human (or not) and seriously kick some human arse.
Layer Cake: Daniel Craig survives being shot and decides not to get out of the drugs/crime business but take over from Michael Gambon.

Quadrophenia II. Its the 1970s and they have traded their scooters in for Capris and replaced rioting with wife swapping.

OT: I'd love a sequel to 'the warriors' as it is one of my favourite films. Although it would probably be shit, so maybe not.

I'd like to see the sequel to ET, where he brings back Earth microbes to his home planet which cause catastrophic waves of plagues and the collapse of their civilisation.
Perhaps ET could go back to Earth to find Elliot and they cycle back to ET's planet with the "antidote" - a bottle of Dettol. But that might be a bit unbelievable.

I'd like to see a sequel to Fight Club. I wonder how project Mayhem will continue now that Tyler is gone. Not only that but the Edward Norton character would have to stand trial for manufacturing homemade dynamite and blowing up all those credit card companies. Maybe the charges will be dropped since the police chief is afraid of Tyler's cult "taking his balls and mailing them to the New York and L.A. Times press-release-style".
