I recently discovered that Pricesmart sell tinned salsa! (western family) Works really awesome for nachos, add a bit of cheesewhiz and you end up with some of the best nachos possible in my opinion.

Consumption wise though, Baked Beans is definitely the most frequent tinned food I eat. 3-4 slices of toast, beans and grated chedder cheese on top = best lunch ever. I've yet to get tired of it after years and years.

I've not made a real effort to find London Pride in Calgary but never noticed it in the liquor stores I've been to. Where is it available in Calgary?

Doesn't everyone have a favorite pair or socks? I've got one or two particularly nice pairs of copper soled thermal socks from Mark's that I always wear with my Baffin wellies when walking the dog.

I don't think I'd like Spam. Has anyone had either chicken or ham from a tin? It looks like it might be okay for emergencies.

Had the ham once many decades ago - was more jelly than ham.

My Mum has lots of tins of M&S chicken and ham. She keeps them in case war breaks out again. Strangely though I quite like the ham on sandwiches on Sunday afternoons, and she makes an awesome pie with the chicken (chunks in sauce).

Here, I am a fan of corned beef hash. In the UK this would be a top choice:

I thought the ham might be good on sandwiches, but maybe they have better tinned ham in the UK.

I'm with you on the all day breakfast, that does look good.

I particularly like the 'mini scotch eggs'.

Stagg's chili is pretty good here too, though you pay the price the next day if you go for the Dynamite Hot with beans option!

Quite a choice:

I had that for lunch in a Thermos when I took a boating course. I found the meat bits a little too chewy for my liking.

Which would be dolphin-unfriendly tuna, as opposed to Yellowfin tuna, which would do dolphins a big favour by being a bit less friendly.

I trust you are being sarcastic or you've struck gold in terms of quantities of that stuff at the Costco on the Dark Side.

Sarcastic? Moi?

Incidentally, beer is no cheaper at Costco than anywhere else. Everyone sells it at the same price, which is usually the minimum allowed by law.
