A few years ago, for Mothers' Day, my sons gave me a Dollar Store mug, filled with kitchy & useless mini-tools, emblazoned with the slogan "World's Best Dad".

I thought they were just being funny, until they explained: "you've been both mum AND dad, thanks".

It sits on my desk still.

They gave their stepdad one too for Fathers' Day that year. His sits on his desk too.
