Favourite Album ever?
#1
Just wondered. A discussion at work has caused me to dust off 'The Joshua Tree' by U2.
Listening to it again after such a long time reminds me of all the good times I had at college while doing my 'A' levels and gets me to wondering where all my old friends and buddies have gotten to. Also my first holiday, on my own, at 18 to the USA to see a school friend.
Sounds a bit soft, but no other record evokes such strong memories for me. Wondered whether anyone else had an album that has a similar affect?

mmmmm the one that brings back the memories and that I downloaded again a few years back is Excorcising Ghosts by Japan. Although favourite Album ever is Awake, the best of Live (which thanks to your memory jogging I shall switch off the repetitive radio and put on right now

The Joshua Tree, otoh, makes me want to shove one of Ghandi's sandals very far up Bono's arse.

Although I think the albums fantastic, yeah Bono did end way up his own arse for a while. Think he's calmed down a bit now though.
