The other 93% grew up to be econometricians. ;)

I don't know what an econometrician is, so I guess I'm in the first half. :)

You know what was a good programme? Was John Craven's Newsround. It was the only thing I'd let my kids watch as it was very informative.

Which bit of " Favorite Currenet TV Shows" don't you understand

Wasn't there a thread recently about how Canadia was shite because it lacked culture? Judging by the programmes listed on this thread I'm surprised anyone would notice.:p

I`m rather concerned that I find Storage Wars strangely compelling.

There's not much on the TV during the summer, have to wait for the kids to go back to school.

I kind of liked Combat Hospital when it first started but it's gotten a bit crap now. Rookie Blue was also okay when it first started but they depend on Missy Peregrym too much and that has also gone a bit crap (sorry but you're not back on the job after a couple of months after getting shot in the abdomen twice).

I like watching Wipeout, it vaguely reminds me of: It's a Knockout.

Endgame about the Russian chess player who is too scared to leave his hotel has its moments. Lost Girl can be watchable sometimes.

I walked past the real police station in TO where they film Rookie Blue and got quite excited. Briefly.

Breaking Bad is absolutely fantastic television, in its four series it hasnt put a foot wrong, I love it.

Boardwalk Empire was great too.

We watch Nurse Jackie and Entourage as well for a bit of light hearted entertainment.

Other shows I've enjoyed lately :
Downton Abbey
Human Planet
Treme
The Street
In the Thick of It
Dexter

Everyone is entitled to an opinion and voicing them on the forum is fine, if folks dont like to watch Telly then thats up to them but I happen to think its a fabulous form of entertainment, high def tv, PVR, HTPC, netflix... this is the kind of stuff I could only dream about growing up, nowadays I can watch practically anything I want whenever I want to in comfort on a beautiful screen with no adverts.

Whats not to like?

There is a fine line between genius and sanity.

I often wonder if the homeless alcoholic got something right. Being drunk is a great pleasure of life and being a full time drunk well what else is there?

John Craven should be knighted.
