Well there's not that much on currently.
Doctor Who starts up again at the weekend.
Blue Bloods was good.
CSI was so much better with Laurence Fishburne instead of William Petersen. But I understand he's left.
So many shows get cancelled, though, it's hard to invest any time in something new if it gets taken off at a whim.

True Blood
New Tricks
are the two that get me to put my book down at the moment, others that are tuned into that I could really live without include:
Storage Wars
Hells kitchen
Pinks
Pickers (either one)
and loads of other stuff that is just on.

Apart from news I rarely watch live TV.
I record the the following and usually watch latter the same day.
Corry Street
Eastenders
We have a large number of prgrams and movies on the PVR.
Recent ones
Outnumbered
Old Guys
Worst week
Mystery (PBS)

Really enjoy Blue Bloods and The Good Wife. Good characters.
Love So You Think You Can Dance (US version only). Raw talent.
Dip in and out of What Not to Wear and Love it or List it.
"Recent" UK offerings that we watch Merlin, Lost in Austin, Dr Who and Being Human.
Eagerly awaiting the last series of Spooks.
Will start on The Inbetweeners soon.
Old style - West Wing was probably my all-time favourite American series.
My old advice really is "don't ever, ever watch TV live - record everything and whizz through ads"

What I've watched recently have been some UK programs such as Dr Who, Torchwood and Merlin (re-runs for the last)
Alpha's has been not bad, also the Listener.
When they are on, House and the Good Wife.
Hell's Kitchen and Master Chef.
The Apprentice (UK one over the internet).
What screws us up usually is the fact they change days/times etc also big gaps in seasons, (why did Dr Who do the same this year??). The seasons are too long (24 episodes), which are made as they go along, which sometimes gets delayed.
You may watch 3 or 4 episodes of a series and start getting into it, then suddenly you see the first episode again, or an episode from a previous season.
TV over here sucks big time, thank gowd we all came for the outside adventure eh.

Crikey i'm surprised how many people have a TV hobby by the looks of things.
Now if they had the Inbetweeners here i might change my mind.

Bachelor Pad.
So much drama, politics and depression in one time slot.
Other than that one show I recommend is "Game of Thrones".
The last series of "The Office" starts soon.
My TV is in the main to facilitate my watching or Premier League Football.

It's summer. I've watched perhaps two hours of TV since mid-June.

And you now expect a Blue Peter badge or some thing
whats your point ?, no one said anything about watching at any particular time of year. Its a thread about favorite TV shows, not on how can show how pseudo superior you are by saying " It's summer, I've watched perhaps two hours of TV since mid-June" FFS
