Don't get me going on Goldman Sachs! I have dealt with those insomniac spreadsheet-merchants before.
You have to admit, they GS are 'the best of the best at what they do' & once an investor understands them, there is money to be made. Makes you wonder [it is said somewhere] why so many ex-Presidents, congressmen & senators are in the back pockets of GS, or should that be the other way round? 'What, you say'.. wall street controls how the US government should be [or is] run & who gets what contracts.... no, never, don't say those things, its not true:eek::eek: No wonder the small contractor doesn't have a chance  Conspiracy theory at best :amen: |

Re: Experiences on the AC 787 Dreamliner
Well, I can answer the premium economy question. Got bumped up for free for whatever the reason may be on my Lufthansa flight down. I've got some more legroom, better space to type away at my laptop (lol), but other than that not much difference. Not sure how it differs on other carriers. AC I thought had a more bucket style seat for PE, but maybe that is business class, as I see those seats on this flight too.
Would I say its worth anything more than an extra $175? No. Is it nice? Yes. The food? Same food you get in regular economy but on a china plate. They do bring drinks round much more often though which is nice. I often find myself having to beg an attendant to bring me something to drink, or I buy something in the airport just so I have it on hand. All in all a nice surprise. |

Mmm anyway, Scandium mainly comes out of an asteroid that landed in Ukraine and until the wall fell, it's main use was in making the wings of MiG-29s, iirc.
It is extremely useful stuff when alloyed with aluminum. But carbon-fibre is cheaper. |

You can of course go and ask them for more drinks if the frequency isn't to your liking ;) on AC anyway.
On LH it was never a problem and they would grab me one. |

Must have been a sodding big asteroid, to hit Ukraine, China and the Kola Peninsular, and leave bits around in place such as Nebraska.
 Are you doubting his knowledge??!! |
