Is it worth phoning round contractors etc for property restorations type work, the people you love
I know from work a lot have been sent to NL after Igor and the local availability of people is lacking,

Commiserations on redundancy not that far before Christmas though. Been there, done that, had to take the Christmas pressies back. Not fun at all.

Balfor who bought out Powervac would be another one. I drive past 'em every morning on the way to work. There is certainly a lot of basement renovations occuring as a result of flooding during Igor so it might be worth checking out for a short term work opportunity.
Commiserations on redundancy not that far before Christmas though. Been there, done that, had to take the Christmas pressies back. Not fun at all.
