It's probably going to get worse.

I read that there's a lady who has a youtube video (with around 220k views so far).

In the video, apparently, she is complaining to al-Baghdadi that shooting and beheadings are "too humane". She has requested they start impaling them, instead.

The video currently has 2217 likes.

I wonder if the rest of the world pulled out of that region entirely and let them at each other, if there would eventually be some sort of peace over there?

Seems they don't want the west helping, and well it's been a spectacular failure of trying to bring in peace over how many decades now?

Doesn't seem that anything the west is doing is actually helping resolve the issues in that part of the world.

Not a pleasant state of affairs.

The Jordanians responded by executing 6 ISIS prisoners.

ISIS organised and well equipped. Which Western government armed them?

The US, albeit unintentionally. An awful lot of kit and money was captured when ISIS rolled into Mosul and the Iraqi Army melted away without a fight. ISIS has also been getting its hand on weapons intended for moderate Syrian rebels fighting the Assad regime.

Much as I loathe saying this, but if this is to be stopped any time soon there will need to be a large coalition force on the ground.

The same country that was originally willing to exchange one of them, in a not negotiating with terrorists way.

The pilot is believed to have been killed in January, so no exchange would have worked

I read that the Jordanians have been very sneaky about this. They knew all along he had been killed...that's why they kept asking for proof of life. This showed their fellow Muslims that they were willing to negotiate...but ISIS had no intentions of doing so as the pilot was already dead.
