Van Gaal's available. He fits the FA's requirement of foreign is okay if he knows the English game/players.

He'll soon have Rooney back to his ManU form. Oh, wait, that wouldn't change would it.

One thousand and 50 people have already signed a petition asking for the game to be played again as they did not realise that after losing the Englqnd team would have to leave the Euros !! ;)

They could play that game another ten times and I have no doubt that England would be beaten in all ten.

Nothing we haven't seen before.

England haven't been effective on a pitch since Glen Hoddle was in charge.

It was, and all in all, it capped off a rather depressing week. :(

I thought that I might put my, female, two bits in and say...well done, or not indeed! We do however have something to look forward to don't we?

Yeah, you don't need to be a poetry genius to spot the symbolism.

Canada Day.

An extra day to spend drunk and belligerent at Hooters.

At least we can expect some well deserved whimsical Icelandic ridiculing banter on our forthcoming trip to the island

That'll create some fun. There are lots of Poles in Iceland (largest minority group).

That's pretty much true. So where can we get another nutter from?

A chap on another motorcycle asked me if I'd recovered from the loss yesterday- must have been the union jack on my bike jacket- I replied that I loved it as I cheer scotland anyhow. Zero expectations.

Since I see england as a marginal top-10 world team, the quarterfinals is probably about par.
