Euro 16

Did anyone watch that pathetic game today? They must drop Rooney and play the formation that we had in the last game against Germany otherwise this will be a short tournament for us. :(

Re: Euro 16

As much as I'd love Rooney to prove all the doubters wrong (me included) it won't happen even though he'll get plenty of chances being undroppable.

Today's failures will just reinforce Hodgson's conviction that the shortcomings are with the other players.

But even allowing for that, there are three important factors shown today that will prevent a decent showing - even allowing for best thirds making it to the knockout round.

Rooney still has a habit of laying the ball off to the other team; Alli will respond to even the mildest provocation; Vardy's naivety means opponents will win easy free kicks by turning his harrying into fouls.

And then there's that awful defence.

I will wait until after the first game against Russia to cast judgment.
Can't read to much into friendly games.

The should drag Rooney and WheelChair out the back and shoot them.

Townsend and Drinkwater must be fuming they were left out.

In the meantime, don't forget the Copa America started last night.

Then you're either French or Spanish because there's nobody else we're going to lose to.

Do you honestly think that England can beat Gareth Bale?

Re: Euro 16

Its well past being worth any debate, the England football team have always been a joke, they have an army of adoring fans that seem to suffer from a delusional condition and actually believe the team are going to do something in every world cup or Euro cup.....but of course never do.....that same old 1966 picture gets wheeled out everytime. Come on Ding er lung....the cup is ours this time.....ok ding er lung fan you just keep believing that! why dont you get together with a leafs fan you would get on well! lol :sneaky:

They are so much like the leafs! Im sure there must be a joke in there somewhere that would include the leafs and England football team in the same joke as they share many parallels, an over rated over paid team that have achieved nothing in years.... with an army of fans that are obsessed with them what ever the performance, unconditional love it seems!

That's what being a football fan is.

Could this be Ronaldo's tournament? At 31 this may be his last chance‎ to shine at a major tournament.
