I hadn't thought of downloading NetFlix shows to the iPad, I was concentrating on my own content. That's a good idea.

iPod contains audiobooks and music, iPad with a few games and movies/TV shows. Will peruse NF to see if anything grabs me for offline viewing.

I will also 'old school' take a book together with nicotine gum due to tight layover times.

Canvassing opinion? Well I can still 'sing' a bit of it after over 30 years... Who knows? What defines a classic?

Just noticed if I persist in trying to sing it it turns into 'we are detective'. Crossed middle-aged wiring.

I let the Are/Our thing go allowing that someone who thought that recording a "classic" likely wouldn't remember either the music or the title. The absence of punctuation in a correction, nah, that was too much. I counter your extended finger(s) with my reflexive gesture in response. You'll have to take it figuratively.

Hey I was 15 when that came out.

I read somewhere that most people's musical 'era' is from about 13-25. For me that would start with Berlin era Bowie and end with Morrissey/Leonard Cohen (I'm your man)/

You can indeed. Ideal for flights.

My musical era is 13 to 40. Still finding many new songs and artists, and delving into certain genre's through the wonders of Spotify/YouTube. Plenty of bands from my 13-25 era that I now wouldn't touch with a barge pole.

So shall we drift back on to Spain and or flying?

I have noticed that these days 90% of the flight is in darkness so that people can watch their screens. It used to be only the redeye that was iike that, now day flights are shuttered too.

Most people are not interested in looking out the window. At Christmas time we took a flight from Nice to Zurich...perfectly sunny day.

Pilot announces...if you look out the left side of the plane you can see Mt Blanc and if you look out the right hand side of the plane you can see the Matterhorn...most people ignored the info and just listened to music.

So true. I don't get that. I've flown a lot, but remain mesmerised by looking out the window.
