I'm not patriotic for either of my countries. They both have some dumb people at the top level of government. My choices are for me and my family and that only.

No worries. I see where the topic shifted to Game of Thrones via Sean Bean/ Alec Trevelyan/ Janus. Actually, I find this to be a much more interesting thread than one about patriotism. You can continue discussing it here.

Same here. Not only am I unpatriotic but I also give a big, vocal f-u to my little stain on the map of a country. None of its accomplishments nor mistakes are my own so I don't have to feel proud nor ashamed of anything related to my country of citizenship whose name I dare not speak (in a way similar to Voldemort's).

Yeah, I knew you weren't patriotic.
I agree with you though, none of my countries' accomplishments, or mistakes, are my own. One of them is way too supportive of the US and Israel for my liking, and the other makes half of its decisions based on how much money it can put into the coffers (because its broke) or on their stupid club known as religion.

I feel more patriotic than you two. England has an imperial history but it has tried to do a lot of things right, and succeeded with many.

The UK civilized half the world, plenty to be proud of.
