I did some checking and this feed is from Al Jazeera Sports 3 in English with Tim Sherwood as a h/t pundit.

Apparently, the Switzerland game will be on TSN2 tonight @ 20h eastern time....ignore the 'bowling' that is listed on the on screen programming...too bad I caught parts of it via the web courtesy of Al Jazeera Sports.....I honestly can't remember the last time an England competitive game was on anything but PPV or Setanta.

Er, what I really meant was an England game as either a friendly or a qualifier for a tournament......which have traditionally been PPV or Setanta (and then never live).
I don't believe that Setanta had the England/Switzerland game in their schedule to play in a few days and TSN2 must have quickly purchased the broadcast rights with little notice.
I don't believe that Setanta Australia were broadcasting it as my online feed was via Al Jazeera Sports

How do people like you know these things?

Or were you online early enough to see the channel?

Setanta seems to a bit crap this season. Its full of rugby now which I believe was previously only available on OUTtv.

And yesterday I watched England under 21s. Plenty of Live footie action still.

Still good value, I reckon.

You make a good point. I think I'll keep it for awhile to see if I watch much on there as TSN2 seem to have a few more games this year. Also, I have to get Cricket Plus or CBN to watch the Ashes which will add to the expense.

How could you tell? I just googled Al Jazeera and Trevor Francis and that does seem to be the case, so I obviously had the same one. The presenter was someone who had been on Setanta but there were no Setanta graphics.

This Al Jazeera sports seems like quite the channel in both arabic and english...now if only I could forget about the Osama links.
The TSN2 feed was from ESPN Int'l/ESPN3.com with Shaka Hislop doing most of the commentary (probably from ESPN HQ).
Setanta to me is still a deal...as I get 30% off the $14.95 via bundling on my internet/cell/cable bill.

Ha. And there I was thinking you were clever or had "connections."
I think we've just been spoilt a bit. I can't remember what the cost was for Sky before I came over but I'm sure I was paying more in 2004 than Setanta costs now, even with a worse exchange rate, and we didn't get the 3..00 Saturday KO then.
Of course, Sky Sports did offer plenty of other things that Setanta doesn't but you'd have to be a major fan of several sports to have watched a lot. Rugby League would be nice - Setanta used to do it.
I do miss Soccer Am...that was a laugh.
Tiswas for footie fans.
