Starting to notice a correlation between persons who post regularly on BE and those who are NOT better off!! Hmmmmm...should we be more productive with our time?

income/outgoing/standard of living 'in Canada' is not shining brightly on the horizon...New Brunswick's star is dreadfully dimming, and if the politicians can't get to grips with this it will get worse...Macadam a small town near me, has lost 25% of its working population as all the productive people have gone West. Yes, 'my' income has gone up 100% since I moved to Canada, I wasn't working before I came here....but No, I'm still not better off.

I am with you there....world markets may weft and weave, but my ultimate
income/outgoing/standard of living 'in Canada' is not shining brightly on the horizon...New Brunswick's star is dreadfully dimming, and if the politicians can't get to grips with this it will get worse...Macadam a small town near me, has lost 25% of its working population as all the productive people have gone West. Things aren't so bad here though, but the question was "are you better off than last year", and the answer is no.
No matter. We're certainly not badly off.
