Is this an open invitation for any expat? We arrived about 6 weeks ago and would be good to meet up with some expats.

At about 10pm, a mariachi band will come in and do a circuit round the pub. If you look closely at the 4th member of the band, you'll notice that he looks a lot less Mexican than the others... Scottish even. In breaks between songs you'll note that he's mouthing the words "Help Me".
Word of advice... Canadian work permits that are issued in the back rooms of Bermondsey minicab offices sometimes aren't all what they seem. |

Too much fruit. :)
<sorry to hear this mate> I went hard pretty much 6 days straight. 44 pints, 7 glasses of red wine and a lot of shots. A good wake up call, never again and lesson to others! The pain has subsided thanks to some decent medication so hopefully I can have a couple on the 30th but definitely going easy for a month or two. |

As a rule it is. Usually the crowd will be in "the library", part of the pub around to the left from the front door. If you find yourself in a bog or a restaurant full of children you haven't turned left enough.
I'll be the loser sipping the glass of water and sheepishly eating his sweet potato fries. |

Those that fall for this deserve what they get. Better permits can be obtained at Pacific Mall in Markham for a fraction of the price :D

Looking forward to Friday.
Did we reserve a table last time or was it secured just by pitching up? Medication is going well but I think it may be a week to soon for me to have a beer. None the less looking forward to seeing everybody. |
