You, madame, would be immensely welcome. Even though we live much closer to downtown Toronto than you do, we usually spend the night at the hotel across the street (Novotel) so as to avoid DUI issues, and then justify the whole thing by going to the Market and then the AGO or the ROM, or if in season TIFF etc. on the Saturday.

You'd be welcome to join us (assuming you got your own room).

You, my friend, would be welcome too. But you chose to live in Fredericton. What can I say?

I am working. I work every other weekend and one Friday a month so the chances of me ever getting to one of these are slim. Seriously pissed off about this.

Just let us know a Friday that works at your side and we can amend accordingly or do another one in 2 or 3 months.

2nd of May isn't good for me (I will be celebrating a rather large b/d that weekend).. but then there is no guarantee that I would be able to make it on the 25th either, lol

You celebrate your birthday the same day as a family member, so I shouldn't forget it!

Aren't the iced hockey playoffs still going on then?

If the Leafs are still in it then hell may have frozen over, so no risk of high water.

They don't start until mid-April and go on until June. The Leafs are in a wild card spot at the moment but a lot could happen over the remaining 14 games of the regular season.

You don't really mean that.

You'd have loved the Sens/Habs game the other night. The ending was astonishing.

I thought the Habs were a Scottish football team?

Only half of the Hibs team are actually Scots. The rest are from other bits of The British Isles (excluding a token frog).

The Habs, like all NHL teams, are Canadians, Yanks or Northern/Central Europeans.

An interesting thing about the Habs is that they are a very good team at the same time as being very small blokes. Eight of the 20-man roster are under six foot (five under 5' 10"). Not one of the Sens is under six foot, and they are not the biggest team in the NHL.

Size clearly does not matter.

It does in the Play Off's when people start roughing each other up a little more.

I remember Vancouver winning two league's in a row but their skill and size being no use because you are allowed to start hitting people more in the cup/knock out part. Teams of brutes like Boston more suited.
