And people are actually called John Thomas.

There was a funny combination I read a couple of days ago involving Willie but I can't remember the other bit.

It wasn't the cricket one.

There was a story in the paper a few years back about a couple naming their baby "Drew Peacock"

I work with a few Dicks right enough, Dick McCraken being the best, but he doesn't go by Dick normally hahah

A mate of mine at college (early 80s) was a Richard. He changed his name to Dick when he went to college (nothing unusual about students giving themselves new names).

He soon became known as Biggus. He's been stuck with that ever since.

It could have been worse. Another in the herd changed from Christopher to Kit.

That quickly became Horace. Think about it for a bit........

He's still saddled with that one, decades later.

Luckily for him he wasn't named after his cousin, Issac

I had a secretary many moons ago who's surname was Fish. When she was heavy with her first child (and this is absolutely true) I asked her what names they'd come up with. Well, she said, I like Courtenay, but Gary (hubby) likes Michelle.

I thought she was taking the piss at first, but she genuinely couldn't see why I was rolling around on the floor laughing!

I had an Uncle Dick. Also a Headmistress called Mrs Brain, who signed letters from school 'P. Brain'. I am pretty sure she did it on purpose.
