Mine only cost me 50 pounds and it was wonderful. Thanks to Steve_P at least you will know where to get one here. As for the trouser press - I've checked Sears and they don't sell them (not yet anyway) but found another site where a Corby electric pant press is going for $490 plus the beloved taxes so that is one less thing for you to worry about!

Hi Dawn,
wow thanks for all those encouraging words. seems like I may have a good small business on my hands. Some people like to clean their home and outsource the ironing, other peope like it the other way around. I will get in touch when I land! Sue:D |

My shirts are washed, ironed, and put on hangers for $1.00 each from the local cleaners.

I would check that out before bringing it out here.....i wanted to bring my ghd hair straightners, came out here on holiday and they didnt work, with teh voltage only being 120v. So i went to the local electrician to see about a transformer and the only one that worked was the largest one he had, my straightners were blowing his whole shop on every other one....well the one he said i could use was the size of a microwave  So to cut a long story short i made do with some straightners i bought here until GHD did a US line just over a year ago :thumbsup:

Wait, are you saying hair straighteners from the UK might not work in Canada? Why didn't someone mention this before?

Electrical stuff generally doesnt work.....because the voltage here is 120 compared to 240 in the uk you cant get enough power to get the heat you need! Your best bet is to buy straightners and hairdryer/iron/all that jazz out here! CHI work just as good as GHD out here and you can pick up a pair from most salons or from Chatters which is a wholesale type place for around $200
