Can anyone suggest a good source for DE? Would I be able to order from the US and have it shipped across the border? I can't find any information on the border sites.

Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth in Canada – DiatomaceousEarth.ca
Make sure it doesn't contain more than 1% of crystalline silica, the effects of it on animals are not completely known but it's not recommended.
This website has SPCA certified earth: Diatomaceous Earth, Animal Feed, Cat Litter, Natural, Absorbent

I have not ordered from them, but they seem to sell what you want.
Please Select from the Following Sizes... – DiatomaceousEarth.ca
You might be able to find it at an aquarium store, some use it in their aquariums, but I never have, but some speciality stores may sell it.

Health Canada control the importation of food stuffs and pest controls. If you mention you want to use it as pest control and it does not have a registration number, it won't get it. If it is for food use then should not be a problem. Call Health Canada and ask, although I am sure there are easier way to control fleas on a dog.

We don't use a pesticide, the pill prevents the flea from forming a skeleton effectively killing the cycle since they can't reproduce.

You can also get it from Canadian Tire - I bought a bottle or three from there when we had bedbugs a few years back. IIRC it's in with the pesticides.....
