I mailed Christmas cards from Canada to England a few weeks ago. (I always stuff a dozen or so cards into a larger envelope and mail it to my Mum for distribution.)
When they weighed the envelope they told me that to mail it as an "oversized letter" it would cost $20, but if they mailed it as a "small package" it would be $12 then they said as a "small air package" it was $9!! I opted for the $9 option! How does that work??? |

Excuse me, Canada Post, but where is my package, exactly? Screenshot by Lightshot

That reminds me of a christmas gift that I ordered in December 2013 that ended up being delivered to an address in Montreal (instead of Hamilton) - and signed for. Someone got lucky I suppose!

Argh. Mine ended up being delivered about 2-3 hours after it was "reported" in Dundas. So probably just a glitch fortunately.
Amazon reckons said parcel is in Mississauga, having traveled from there to Montreal, and back again ... In the meantime, Canada Post also reckons another parcel is in Gatineau; they delivered it here yesterday ... |

Canada Post reckons it delivered a parcel to me last Sunday... Never mind that CP doesn't deliver here on Sundays.

Re: Dear Canada Post, We Need To Talk.
Here is one for the kicker, a parcel from China got here faster then one from California which says Friday delivery.
Still haven't figured out why it takes Canada Post 3 days to do the final 80km or so, if it was processed for delivery in Richmond, BC yesterday, you think it could be brought here within 24 hours, or even 48 hours, but consistently takes 3 days to do that final leg. Seems to be the least efficient processing facility known to man, so much for new modern facilities being better, never took this long when they used the old place downtown Vancouver...lol |
